      The heart of an industrial oven is the burner and gas train; when that's down, business stops. Your initial reaction will be to assess the situation and attempt to make the necessary repairs/adjustments. Below you'll find a list of common issues along with possible solutions to help you.

      PROBLEM: Pilot will not light (90% of burner outages come from ignitor and flame rod failures)

      SOLUTION:
      • Ensure spark ignitor is clean and set to the correct gap.
      • Clean flame rod with steel wool. Spare spark ignitors and flame rods should be kept in stock and can be purchased here.


      PROBLEM: Too much gas pressure

      SOLUTION:
      • Check the high-pressure switch setting and reset
      • Possible regulator diaphragm burst. Call Horizon 262-361-0329!

      PROBLEM: Not enough gas pressure

      SOLUTION:
      • Check that the manual shutoff valve is not closed.
      • Check low pressure switch setting and reset.

      PROBLEM: Loss of flame signal causing burner to shut down

      SOLUTION:
      • Check the air flow switches, ignition transformer, and gas pressure switches.
      • Check the burner ports are not clogged.
      • Clean filter and ports as necessary.


      PROBLEM: Burner will not light

      SOLUTION:
      • Clean burner as necessary.
      • check spark ignitors
      • Adjust switches as necessary in accordance with gas piping.

      PROBLEM: Air flow switch fault

      SOLUTION:
      • Clean sensing tube for the combustion air flow switch.
