Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is an OEM engaged in the design and manufacturing of industrial capital equipment in the heat processing industry including ovens, washers, and material handling. Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is currently seeking a Full-time Field Service Engineer.
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial oven systems at customer sites. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and controls knowledge to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and according to manufacturer specifications. The engineer works directly with customers to diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and provide technical support. Qualified candidates for this position must possess the skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment related to installing and troubleshooting equipment both mechanically and electrically.
Responsibilities:
- Independent troubleshooting of equipment both mechanically and electrically
- Attend equipment runoffs and installations
- Customer interface regarding field issues, service calls, and equipment runoffs
- Independently perform service calls
- Provide technical support to sales and engineering
- Create service reports
Skills:
- Read prints and electrical schematics
- Experience with conveyors, AC motors, VFD’s, burners, gas trains, fans, pumps, and gear boxes
- Ability to travel from 50%-75%, and able to travel internationally
- Beginner PLC reading and editing
- Program VFD’s and Process controllers
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Beginner MIG welding
Education:
- 2 year technical degree desired, but not required.
