Lab Services

Custom processes require custom solutions. The Research and Development Team at Horizon Performance Technologies is uniquely qualified to help customers develop their process requirements. For temperatures up to 1100 degrees Fahrenheit the lab technician can determine the ideal parameters for airflow and temperature settings in order to ideally solve the thermal process requirements.

Our laboratory equipment is specifically designed for Curing, Drying, Annealing, Heat Treating and Aging Process. We have years of experience on specific processes including, but not limited to the following list of:

      • Curing of paints
      • Drying of water or any other type of liquid
      • Annealing (plastics and other)
      • Heat Treating
      • Aging (aluminum)
      • Sand core drying
      • Powder Paint Curing
      • Composite Curing
      • Pre-Heating
      • Stress relieving of various substrates
      • Tempering
      • Thermoforming
      • Adhesive and gel curing

Results from the testing are thermally captured via temperature profiles (as shown) and will allow the customer to visualize the performance of the process before the equipment is purchased or built. Changes in temperature profiles can easily be achieved in the laboratory and optimized for the actual production equipment.

In most situations the laboratory is used during the initial phase of the equipment or process development. But at times our customers have also asked to have their process simply confirmed. Either way, our customers can be assured that the final equipment design meets their process requirements.
