Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is an OEM engaged in the design and manufacturing of industrial capital equipment in the heat processing industry including ovens, washers, and material handling. Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is currently seeking a Full-time Project Engineer.
Qualified candidates for this position must possess the skills to oversee the application and technical side of projects from contract acceptance through engineering, fabrication, assembly, installation and start-up. The project engineer works with mechanical and electrical engineering, purchasing, manufacturing and service departments to set milestones and guide the project to completion. The following list of responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other responsibilities, as corporate management may deem necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Overall driver of projects assigned (technical adherence through startup at the customer)
- Review customer specifications, equipment proposals and contract purchase orders.
- Create, maintain, and update individual and master Project Schedules based on customer requirements andexisting workloads in various departments.
- Regularly communicate with customers and vendors to execute projects.
- Support manufacturing and service departments while equipment is being built and installed.
- Coordinate shipping between the customer and manufacturing.
- Prepare and review run-off and final acceptance criteria with customer.
- Coordinate installation and start-up with the customer and service department
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality problems, and to
- ensure the continuous improvement of processes and methods.
Skills:
- Application engineering experience with mechanical systems
- Experience managing timelines and redirecting projects
- Leading teams that are not direct reports
- Background in equipment mechanics, electronics, and programming
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and multitask on several projects.
