Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is an OEM engaged in the design and manufacturing of industrial capital equipment in the heat processing industry, including ovens, washers, and material handling systems. Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is currently seeking a Full-time Mechanical Detailer to support our engineering and manufacturing teams.
The Mechanical Detailer will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed mechanical models, drawings and documentation for industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with 3D CAD software, be detail-oriented, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update 3D models in SolidWorks
- Create and update mechanical detail drawings using 3D SolidWorks
- Develop part drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings from engineering designs.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Detail sheet metal, structural, and machined components.
- Assist engineers with drawing development and design documentation.
- Make drawing revisions based on engineering changes and manufacturing feedback.
- Assist with creating and maintaining standard and reusable drawings.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions, and manufacturability.
- Assist with obtaining information and specifications for purchased components.
- Learn and develop an understanding of industrial ovens, washers, and finishing systems
- Other duties may be assigned.
Skills:
- Experience with 3D SolidWorks preferred.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with sheet metal and structural design.
- Basic understanding of mechanical fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Basic knowledge of industrial equipment, conveyance, heating, or washing systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- Technical degree, drafting degree, or engineering-related education is a plus, but not required.
- Previous CAD drafting or mechanical detailing experience is preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience will be considered.
