Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is an OEM engaged in the design and manufacturing of industrial capital equipment in the heat processing industry including ovens, washers, and material handling. Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is currently seeking a Full-time Sr. Electrical Engineer.
Qualified candidates for this position must possess the skills to electrically design and detail project drawings and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design electrical control systems and gas piping layouts, meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints.
- Develop, design, program, and debug PLC’s (program logic controls), operator interfaces, communication devices, and frequency drives.
- Review and interpret customer specifications and sales agreements.
- Work with customers and vendors on equipment design.
- Ensure conformance to codes and to company standards for quality and manufacturability.
- Design control systems in Autocad Electrical.
- Evaluate and select components for control panel’s and Industrial Oven, Washer, and Finishing Systems
- Interface with Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, and Operations
- Provide technical support to sales, applications and field service as needed.
- Stay current and informed of new developments in industry and new parts or methods to improve products or product designs.
- Comply with all housekeeping procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Skills:
- Experience designing, developing and programming PLC controls (Allen Bradley) and AC/DC motor controls.
- A high degree of technical aptitude with strong hands on experience with mechanisms and machinery.
- Ideal candidates will be creative designers and problem solvers as well as strong troubleshooters.
- Proficiency with programming PLC’s and electrical design.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, and able to travel internationally.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
