lab services provided by horizon performance technologies

Custom processes require custom solutions.

The Research and Development Team at Horizon Performance Technologies is uniquely qualified to help customers refine and quantify their thermal processing requisites. Working with temperatures up to 1100°F (600°C), our lab technicians can assist by proving the ideal parameters for airflow and temperature settings to optimize process specifications and operating requirements.

We have years of experience with many procedures including, but not limited to:

  • Drying
  • Annealing
  • Normalizing
  • Tempering
  • Aluminum Aging
  • Hydrogen De-embrittlement

In the lab, test results are captured via data logging and/or thermal imaging.  This allows the customer to visualize the performance of the process before their equipment is purchased or built. Time/temperature profiles can easily be manipulated in the laboratory and optimized for the actual production equipment.

With production equipment  incorporating our patented Cyclone Oven™ and Torrent Washer™ technologies, Horizon Performance Technologies will not only achieve the requirements necessary for optimal processing, but we can also demonstrate how the Cyclone & Torrent Technologies™ will save on total operating costs over the life of the equipment.

In most situations our laboratory is used during the initial phase of the equipment or process development. But at times customers have also asked to have their process simply confirmed or validated. Either way, our customers can be assured that the final equipment design meets their process conditions and requirements.
